Portland Deaf Access Committee Needs You!

The Portland Deaf Access Committee (PDAC) was established in 2001 as a group of AA members who work together to help make AA in the Portland Metro Area accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing alcoholics. We follow the 12 Traditions of AA and are not affiliated with any other organization. Our primary purpose is to support AA groups and members in carrying the message to Deaf and Hard of Hearing alcoholics.

Much of PDAC’s work is to provide professional American Sign Language interpreters for A.A. meetings who request them. PDAC is struggling to meet the need due to decreased contributions. This is a great service opportunity for A.A. groups and individual members, to help support PDAC’s work; any amount of contribution will be put directly to providing Deaf members and newcomers with access to A.A. meetings and events.

Contributions can be sent by mail or online – see the PDAC website at pdacaa.org for more information and for links to interpreted meetings.
